BBC Worldwide look for move

BBC Worldwide is reported to be looking for a new HQ away from White City.

CoStar reports BBC Worldwide has appointed Cushman & Wakefield to find a new building in the Western Quadrant of the M25 office market. They are looking for 125,000 sq ft south of the M40, north of the A3 and between the M25 and the West End.

The recent BBC announcement that said more west London jobs would be heading for Salford had stated BBC Worldwide would be staying put in White City. However, if this search resulted in a move, more of the media village complex there would be available for sale or alternative use.

There has been persistent speculation that a football club could move there, although Fulham have ruled themselves out. Chelsea are thought to be taking steps which would prepare them for a move, while QPR have also been linked with a redevelopment of White City.
